Relaxation

When was the last time you felt calm, I mean really relaxed?


If you can even remember, then you are doing better than most women!


We live life at 100 miles an hour and feel like we are never on top of our never ending to do list…the relentless white noise in our minds, caused by never feeling like we have accomplished everything we need to.

The consequence of this? We get stuck in fight or flight response (stress), which can have disastrous outcomes on our wellbeing.


When we were living in caves, this response saved us! It meant that we would run top speed away from the tiger trying to kill us! Upon reaching safety we would go back to our relaxed, rest and digest state.


However, modern living means that we are often perpetually stuck in this chronic state of stress and quite simply our bodies were not designed to be this way.


The impact on our body will present in different way but can include:

  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Digestive issues
  • Hormone imbalances

But, the good news is that we can take control of this and begin to spend more time in our happy place of calm!
